Transition to ISO 14001:2015

ISO 14001:2015 - the new version of the standard was published in September 2015 and the key changes relate to increased prominence of environmental management within the organisation's strategic planning processes, greater focus on leadership, the addition of proactive initiatives to protect the environment from harm and degradation such as sustainable resource use and climate change mitigation, the addition of improving environmental performance and a communications strategy, and lifecycle thinking when considering environmental aspects. Transition to ISO 14001:2015 must be by the 30th September 2018
